Guild Members gain valuable insights at Autumn Streamed event

Latest news on Guild services Kris McLean 16th November 2023

Another successful online event with over 200 agents tuning into the Autumn Streamed webinar hosted by The Guild of Property Professionals on 8th November.

Managing Director of The Guild of Property Professionals, Kris McLean, said that the live streamed event was well received, with Members having the chance to access the recorded version. “These events provide our Members with the opportunity to gain valuable insights from industry experts and best practices, which they can take away and implement in their businesses. They are all about learning, sharing ideas and enhancing development within the sector,” he comments.

The event opened with property market analyst and Head of European Housing and Building Materials at Royal Bank of Canada, Anthony Codling, providing agents with an overview of the current market, discussing elements such as transactions figures, SWAP Rates, mortgage rates, CPI, house prices and expectations for the year ahead.

Following the market overview, the floor was handed over to multi-award-winning specialist estate agency success coach, Richard Rawlings, who provided an in-depth session around persuasive pricing and the importance of pricing a property correctly from the outset, especially in the current changing market where buyers are very cautious. In his address to the delegates, Rawlings notes that ultimately an agent’s role is to help people move, however, the greatest influence on saleability is price.

He emphasised the importance of the correct asking price at the start by highlighting some stats from Rightmove, which reveal that properties that have been reduced take twice as long to sell, have 10% lower chance of selling at all, are twice as likely to fall through, and are more likely to be lost to a competitor. Throughout the remainder of his presentation, Rawlings explored the elements that influence and determine asking prices, while providing essential tools, tactics, and persuasion techniques to ensure a smooth agreement on pricing with the vendor at the beginning.

McLean adds, “We are constantly trying to provide our network with additional value to their membership. Events such as Streamed are another way in which we are hoping to provide our Members with more insights, tips, and training that will help them increase revenue and grow market share."

The virtual event series is a complimentary offering exclusively available to Guild Members. To learn more about the benefits of joining The Guild of Property Professionals, please contact us via email at parklane@guildproperty.co.uk or visit our website at www.join.guildproperty.co.uk.
